At the German Church in Seattle, you can enjoy Christian worship and music presented in the German language. The church’s history dates back to 1881, with over 100 years in its present church building at the corner of 11th and East Howell Street on Capitol Hill
What We Do
The German Church seeks to serve the German speaking community by offering traditional and family-oriented services. We celebrate both German and church holidays and strive to reach out to native speakers and those learning german. Services are every Sunday at 11:15 a.m. In the past we have had a spring concert, a fall and spring bazaar and bake sale, and an outdoor service in June. In addition, we celebrate German Thanksgiving, Advent, Christmas, Three King's Day, Fasching, Lent and Easter in the church.
